“ I had the pleasure of meeting Brigid Power of Waterford, seven years ago, on my first Irish Vision Quest with Tantra Maat. Brigid has done many things, among them being a civil engineer for the National Roads Authority. She now teaches yoga in the Tramore area but she is also a gifted land healer and I call on her anytime someone tells me that their home is need of energetic cleansing. She is currently working towards land healing at Black Spot zones in Ireland where fatalities and traffic accidents are inclined to occur. Brigid has called in this site for our journey.” Anne Tyrrell
“Liberation – I’m feeling Toureen stone circle is significant in liberation on this Ireland Journey. Its got the magic! – It is a pristine timeless presence in the changing time of Ireland moving from it’s dark days of the Civil war, suppression, secrecy, and hardship to an open, life-enhancing future, especially for those isolated communities. I’m feeling drawn to a path into a welcome place where everyone offers what they have lived through & all that has become frozen – in this Ireland journey now, it’s all offered in transformation & in it, we know who we are.”
Toureen stone circle surrounded by a tall plantation of coniferous woods is located in a remote area of the Comeragh mountain in Co Waterford. in bygone days it commanded a magnificent view over the entire Nire river valley to Choc na Rì – Knocknaree – the hill if the kings – where the Deisi settled having been expelled by the high king Cormac mac Airt from Tara, after many battles, so the story goes.
Pristine, timeless, original, pure like the raindrops in springtime. Crisp, clear, a quietness descends in the frost & snow when the foxes venture out seeking their prey. This place too is a comforting oasis, a place to hibernate or wander in the moonlit nights. Close by walkers take a path into the forest passing by Bronze Age sites of Stone Rows & Fulact Fiadh leading onto a 19th-century path know as Boreen na Socride (path of the funerals), used by locals to carry the coffins to a graveyard miles away over the hills into the next valley.
In closer years this secluded valley sheltered Irish Civil Warfighters, a local cottage becoming the meeting place for the leaders deciding to accept the Treaty, whereby Ireland became a Republic in 1922.
Coordinates will take you to a meeting point where we will gather. From there we will follow Brigid to the Sacred Site.
Following this Sacred Site visit, we will return to Tramore, Waterford for our 5th Oíche Comhluadar. Another potent evening gathering together to share wisdom, stories, and all that needs to be listened to, to inform our onward journey and to reconcile what we have left behind us. Follow the link in the brown bar to register. Detail of address will be received following booking.
