The Origins of a Journey in the making – Anne Tyrrell
As I look back and trace pieces that have been occurring over the past few years I realize that this journey has been coming into form for a very long time. A number of people living in Ireland and others who were or are now part of Tantra Maat’s ‘Spirals of Being‘ have been very integral in bringing all these little pieces together. And without them and their shared listening and presence, this walk in September that Tantra and I will be doing throughout Ireland, probably couldn’t have occurred.
About two years ago, a small group of women here in Ireland, that I had the privilege of meeting through Tantra Maat, were walking the land. Sliabh Na Mban was calling and we gathered to climb the hill together. This was not a one-off occurrence, as every so often a group of us would be in touch and often one or more of us, would hear a call to be somewhere and we would follow that listening. After our trip to Sliabh Na Mban, one of the women, Elaine Doyle had a strong urge to gather people at different points all over Ireland and to have them drum or sing together simultaneously, but apart.
A group of us began a series of calls that brought us together a few times and then it seemed the time was not right, or maybe we had done what we were being called to do at that time. Among these collaborators where Celine Lavelle from Achill, Elaine Doyle living in Sneem, Brigid Power from Tramore, myself who at the time had just landed in Kilbeggan, a young Swedish woman living in Dublin but now in Hawaii called Andrea Kaberg and Jackie Cohan and Tantra Maat in California.
Things were quiet for a while and then in 2017, Maggie Crane from California came to Ireland to visit us. She and Celine joined forces and set off around the country on a sacred journey of their own. During their travels, they stayed with us at Ballymac Lodge and we visited Uisneach Hill together. The next day we met with Brigid and traveled to Glendalough. We swam in the lake and shortly after found ourselves at St Kevin’s chapel calling back the essence of the Divine Feminine in a ritual ceremony.
Then time moves forward and Jackie Cohen (now Murray) and her husband Neil moved to Ireland. It was at this time that another trip was being planned. A group of us from Tantra’s ‘Spirals of Being’ who had attended Mystery School at Damanhur in Italy, and have worked very closely together over the years, were preparing to return to Italy. As plans were being made for the group from America to visit Europe, Tantra said that she wanted to visit Ireland. As the planning progressed, in conversation with Jackie and Tantra, something began to form. Sacred sites had been showing up in my awareness, Grianan of Ailigh, thanks to my mother’s insights and Uisneach Hill with my new awareness of the meeting of the synchronic lines there. Jackie and I took out a map and a radial diagram of places in relation to Uisneach and began to look to see what might be calling. I sent out an email to Elaine, Brigid, and Celine asking if any places might be calling them. Tantra Maat, as I drew up the route, began to see a vision that she had had many years before about a Sacred Irish Journey. Jackie had to move her attention elsewhere as she took a job in Dublin and Tantra and I continued to listen into what the remainder of the trip would look like. On this journey, Elaine Doyle will be taking us to the places she has been paying attention to near her home in Kerry, and Brigid Power is connecting us into the land that she knows best in Waterford.
Then through Tantra Maat and Ann Byrne, also associated with Tantra from many years back, I became aware of others who have been called to travel through Ireland at this time. Tantra put me in touch with a woman named Kathleen, who was travelling to Ireland to join a group on a similar trip only a few weeks before us and Ann met and introduced me to a dynamic young Irish woman, Niamh Cronin, now living in Australia, who was also facilitating a sacred journey in late July. She had recently been to Mount Shasta and spoke of going to Damanhur in Italy after her trip to Ireland. I knew then that this was another field within a field as the similarities were too close to be anything but synchronic. Niamh Cronin A few members of Tantra Maat’s ‘Spirals of Being’ are also traveling from America and will be making their own journey around Ireland simultaneously with Celine Lavelle as their guide and Sherpa. Those traveling with us but apart are Kea Bardeen, Sahere Hummel, Elektra Porzel, Sarah Harper and Maggie Crane. Later in the journey, we will also be joined by Tony McCabe, Ronna Haxby, and Janice Creneti. The larger group of 8, with Tantra and I, will be continuing to journey from Ireland onto Glastonbury, where Kea Bardeen is welcoming us to her land there and then we continue on to Damanhur in early October.
I wish to honour and acknowledge a few other people who have wittingly or unwittingly given me pieces of the jigsaw that have helped compile this puzzle, providing me with clues or helping me to trust that my intuitions have been on point. Among these are Siobhan Larkin who will be organising the Tráthnóna Comhluadar in Dublin on September 22nd, Manchán Magan for his stunningly synchronistic article on the Irish language, Bríd Ní Mhaoileoin, Paul Simon, my mother Margaret, my sister Catherine, Isabelle Keeling a gifted and intuitive healer who prompted me to pay attention to Glencree in Wicklow, Mary O’Halloran who knows Ireland’s mysteries and magic better than anyone I know and my extraordinarily supportive husband Robert. Other support from less physical sources has come from all sorts of beings and places, among them St Kieran of Clonmacnoise and the spirits of two boys from Achill who died many years ago in a tragic fire in Scotland.
The following is my personal account of what has brought me to be in this journey.
On a visit to Uisneach Hill, Westmeath (home to Dagda, the good God, and leader of the Tuatha De Dannan) in June 2017 with Crotalo Sesamo of the Spiritual Federation of Damanhur in Italy, we stood upon the site of the Sun God, Lugh’s, tomb. I was present to the energy moving in the way that I was not familiar with or used to experiencing. It was as if we were standing in the buffer zone between two magnets as their force fields collided. The movement was lateral rather than vertical and was in motion, almost toroidal. I commented on this to Crotalo. His response gave me my first proper awareness of the significance of, what they call in Damanhur, the Synchronic Lines. (as they describe them, the roads of life, a network of streaming energy that spills out over the planet Earth and links up all worlds where life exists.)
I had been aware for some time that a couple of these lines, two of four that intersect at Damanhur’s subterranean work of art and architecture, a cathedral known as the Temples of Humankind, and then intersect at a point near Glastonbury and Stonehenge in the UK before passing through Ireland. The first in the South moving East up through Cork and Kerry and the second appears to cut Ulster cleanly apart from the rest of the land of Ireland as it also moves from East to West. Now, standing on Lugh’s tomb, their influence on this little Island began to sink in. I had casually viewed them as line drawings on a page but now was realising that their power and influence was compelling. Whatever their actual width, the influence of the force of their radiant energies seemed to be bumping up against each other at Uisneach Hill. As with most things for me, the significance of this took a little while to sink in.
A few months later I was viewing a radial map of Ireland’s Ancient Sites of major significance that shows Uisneach Hill as the centre point. I began to experience a stir in me and I felt that I was being, once again, called into the service of something and being asked to pay attention. When Spirit knocks loudly on my door I usually have no choice but to answer. As her energetic imprint (literally) thumps my solar plexus the higher knowing of my-self becomes action. I suddenly find myself engrossed in an idea that has to be activated in time. This time I began obsessing on this diagram by trying to turn it into a graphic, with 3d and colours. It was not very successful as a creation, but it did give me the opportunity to absorb the detail on the map without feeling like I was studying it. A few things began to pop out. One was a feeling of deep sorrow and loss every time I focused on the Hill of Allen. Another was that there were places mentioned on the map that seems to be all but forgotten.
Then She (Spirit/Mother Earth) called on me through my mother. A childhood snap of a visit to Donegal sparked a response in her. “I hated that place,” she said. I asked what she disliked so much. She said it gave her the creeps. I was listening now. Alert. My mother is very sensitive though she only distinguishes what she feels as ‘creepy’, because ‘pleasant’ does not show up as unusual for her. Over a few days, she kept going back to the photograph and each time stated her dislike. In the picture, my brother’s and I are climbing over a low fort like structure. I looked it up. It was Grianán of Ailigh, Co Donegal (the ringfort is said to have been originally built by the Dagda, a god and the celebrated king of the Tuatha Dé Danann). I understood immediately that I was being asked to visit again. I went back to my radial map and felt I saw a spiral forming. Without thinking about why, it was obvious to me that I had to travel via Eamhain Mhacha or Navan Fort in Armagh, NI. (The Goddess Macha is thought to be the daughter of Ernmas, of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Armagh (Ard Mhacha) is also named after Macha).
When Tantra Maat said she had to visit Ireland, I knew now, in this time, a journey of some kind was being initiated, from a much greater source than I had imagined. Tantra Maat is held in great respect by the land of Eire as she has continually kept the faith both on this land and with her connection to Creation.
Another few months on and my sister invited me to attend an event at her workplace, Powerscourt, in Co Wicklow. I had been having some health issues and had been calling on my guides to send who or what was needed my way. The woman giving the presentation was an herbalist. Not my usual route, but as happens when I am in relation with Creation, it seemed obvious to me that I should attend. As the presentation continued I discovered that, not only was this woman deeply intuitive, she was also a skilled herbalist, a Buddhist and a bioenergy practitioner and Reiki Master. It was only when I got home that the penny dropped! This is your connection. So I called her and made an appointment. Much of what occurred during those sessions is not relevant here except to say that I realised very quickly I was in a very deep initiation and preparation for what was/is coming next… I met new and reconnected with other spirit guides, and beings from other dimensional realities that were here to assist, inform and recalibrate my body, mind, spirit and belief structures.
At the end of our first session, she suggested that I visit Glencree. “What is Glencree?” I asked. She mentioned a little chapel. I went home and completely forgot all about it. On my next visit, she asked had I gone to Glencree. I said no and asked her to talk more about Glencree. She again mentioned a chapel but said it was dedicated to St. Kevin. This began to talk to me as I have been involved in land healing ritual work at St. Kevin’s church at Glendalough, not too far away. Again I left and the conversation got left behind also. On my next visit as I drove up to her house, out of the blue I thought, I have not been to Glencree. As soon as she opened the door, I asked her to inform me more about Glencree. As she began to describe the modern reconciliation centre on the site of a former British military barracks and reformatory school, I began to weep. Finally, I started to feel into the energetics of what was beginning to call me.
Many of the places calling have been sites of war, of military oppression, starvation, abandonment, and dis-empowerment, but others are places of extreme beauty, places where the veil is thin and the unseen almost visible, places where nature thrives and her spirit beings abound and another where ancient wrongs are being put right in the now.
For me this journey is healing wounds out of the land and transmuting those energies for new purpose, restoring the balance of sacred masculine/feminine, re-membering each part back to its whole, re-forming and granting pardon on all that led us from unity and the understanding of as above so below, opening portals to allow newly forming consciousnesses to rise in their time. Re-conciling the metapoint of past, present, future.
Tantra Maat and I are clear that this is not OUR journey, but we are calling together again those souls and beings who in some long ago time before this time made an appointment, to walk this land together in the now, to stabilise our new futures rising. As the route of the journey has taken form, so many synchronicities, clues, insights, intuitions and barriers and then a (25-year-old) mystical vision experienced by Tantra Maat, have brought us to its structure. As pieces of the journey fell into place, others moved, morphed, went out of existence. Then like a puzzle, other pieces landed and were acknowledged. A memory here, a feint calling there, a story about a story and slowly a picture has emerged. One of remembrance, recalibration, reconciliation.
Some of this small land’s most difficult wounds embedded in her people, their psyche, their land, are asking for those who promised in other times, to return when all the signs symchronise and come together. To walk this path, to reclaim our Ancient Wisdom Power and allow that which once was cohesion and community to have opportunity to rise once more like a Phoenix, to purge all that kept the shackles in place and let a new dawn arise from the ashes – the sacred fires – purifying the land and her people. Bringing back together again the whole of this Isle-land. Restoring the “Land of Saints and Scholars” to a time before separation from her ideas, myths and language. Reclaiming that which needs to be returned to its original design or matrix. And at almost every turn the presence of our ancient forefathers, the Tuatha De Dannan rises.
So that we, like butterflies spreading their wings, send ripples of this new consciousness out into the ethers to gain force and speed and…
Out beyond ideas of right doing and wrong doing there is a field – of fields within fields – We’ll meet you there… Will you meet us there?
So who am I in this Irish land journey? Not a healer but a catalyst for healing? Dreaming healing being ready into being? Holding the dream for deep healing resonance to rise up and infuse all around in the vibrational fusing of light, liquid resonance, interpreted in many ways for future generations to distill and make use of in the continued lightening of the burdens on the Earth. Dreamer of L.O.V.E. (Life Operating in the Victory of the Eternal), dreamer of a future unimaginable now but essential for all life, both on and off this little piece we call the world, caught in limitations so extreme the contractions pain the entire system of life and existence throughout these time galaxies and matrices.
And so in this journey I declare;
I am co-ordinator, setting things in place in correct order,
· I am crystalline sound singing with the angels,
· I am defender of ancient/future dreams calling,
· I am dreamer of new realities being ready for the new,
· I am loneliness generating new birth,
· I am neutral conduit, metapoints of communication and community,
· I am small/little, particulate, preparing fortune into Now, in time,
· I am transmitter/receiver, facilitating transference of energy and information into and out of the earth,
· I am a voice of the land, on the land, honouring this land.
And who are you in this journey?
Did you make a pact in the distant past to walk again on this Sacred land now named Ireland?
Did you promise your clans and allies you would, in future time, rally to move together into the greater whole of that which we are all a part?
Do you hear that you are part of a pilgrimage that has to be honoured in the now?
If so, Tantra Maat and Anne Tyrrell invite you to walk with us as we progress around Ireland, reconciling past, present and future, answering an ancient call to meet in this potent time within time. You may be called to one stop, many or all. Each will have its significance.
Like the bards of old, we begin our wanderings on September 13th and continue for 11 days when we will gather at dawn at the Lough Crew Cairns to honour the rising sun of the Autumn Equinox on September 23rd. Each day of this journey will carry us deeper into the quest from North to West to South to East and finally back to centre. Our final stop will be at Uisneach Hill at 10:00 am on September 24th.
At various points we will stop to rest and to gather as community in unity, “ag cur eolais trí scéalta” -sharing through stories – at an “Oíche comhluadar” – a night in the company of clann or family – to honour the ancient and new, the myths and legends, the Gods and Goddesses, the elementals and Shee, the masculine and feminine, the language and the sounds of this deeply mystical land.
These gatherings will take place at 7.30pm at the following locations Except for Dublin which will be at 2.00pm. To book please follow the link https://tantramaatcalendar.as.me/ireland. Equity for each Comhluadar is $40. Details of venue will be received on booking.
